I’ve seen teams have to slip releases by months because of defects inserted while they were pushing hard to make their release.
Today, I was speaking to someone about the rise of QA Automation as a specialization, and mentioned how much it horrified me. After going on a 2 hour tirade (ok, 10 minutes verbally, followed by 1:50 of obsessing over it), I went to The Agile Otter…. and found an article on “Bug Teams”.
I’m struck by the similarities between “Bug Teams” and modern “QA Teams”
Our problem is that too few companies have put any serious thought into preventing defects scientifically.
