I just saw a job posting with a pretty long laundry list of skills, and request for decades experience as a developer.

They are offering a “generous” $48K/year (CAD).

I just did a search for a similar job on US job boards. They seem to be offering ~$100K/year (USD) (some as low as 80, some as high as 120)

Let me do the conversion to USD for you:

$38K/year vs $110K/year

Still a big difference between 75 CAD, and 100 USD.
