Since a young age (13?) I have been fascinated by business data. I’m the kind of person that has maintained 11 years of spending data just to optimise my purchasing. Why? because making consistently good decisions requires consistently good data, and predicting the future is an interesting problem.

Humans lie.

We don’t mean to, but we do.

Yes, we lie to one another, but even worse, we lie to ourselves. We lie to ourselves and tell ourselves that we are telling the truth (take a moment and let that sink in).
